Purpose: To warm up or cool down the body. To explore the meditative flow working with just one rhythm
A song like this calls for arrogance, strength, confidence: We are going to Tango! Chest up, shoulders back, proud posture and here we go.
But remember, there is always a part in tango that is also sensual and soft. Play with both extremes.
First move: Slow-Quick-Quick. Start them OTS in a strong posture, confident and elegant. Let yourself be graceful and proud.
When the rhythm sets in, connect them to Slow Quick Quick. Give me a tango flavor, dramatic arms framing your body. Keep your chest up and even your chin up a little. Dance it your way, put your style into it.
Travel it, explore all directions even backwards. Powerful, elegant arms, let your arms dance. Really accent the slow with dramatic arms.
You can’t get it wrong, find your flow and do it the way that feels right to you but don’t loose your confidence and posture.
Second move: OTS figure 8. . At some point, get them OTS and connect them to the same rhythm but with their hips, figure 8, if they wish. Isolate the hips, eventually get them to add their arms. Bend your knees and soften, it allows your hips to flow and move. Add your expressive passionate arms to your hips. Do it the way the music makes you feel. Infuse it with your breath.
Show me your soft, graceful elegance. Give yourself permission to express it. Put passion in it. Only you can do that.
It goes back and forth between the two moves as you wish, however some parts of the music fit best with the moves, see below.
End with a soft pose. Soooooo delicious!
