Pre-Teach: Yes – the interaction part
Focus: External
Purpose: To mobilize shoulders and thoracic spine and to create fun interactions on the dancefloor
Pre teach: There’s a part in the song where he sings, ‘YOU!’ and when he does that I want you to get them to point at a fellow
Groover and then rock their shoulders down – dancing it full on!
Try it with them a few times, pointing to a new person every time.
First move: is Playing the Air Guitar – Act as if you are the coolest Rockstar on the planet, confident with it and air guitar your
socks off!
At 2:20 there is an opportunity to go mad with your air guitar! Get them go as rock crazy as they want, suggest playing the guitar
on the floor or with the guitar above their heads – endless opportunity to release stress!
They can even join another air guitar player and rock with them!
Second move: Is a Walk x 4-Rock Shoulders x 4 – It is super confident rock walk for 4 and then you stay OTS and rock your
shoulders down for 4.
Count them in until they get the pattern, then have them explore the room as they walk, and invite them to try different ways of
rocking the shoulders ever time they do it.
Invite interactions where they rock with the person next to them.
Third move: Is the interaction – Cue a little before to have them stay on the spot – then when he sings “YOU!”, you point to
someone and then rock your shoulders down.
Get them to point at someone different each time.
