Confidence, Attitude, Sass, Aggressive
Adult Facilitator
Pre-Teach: Yes
Focus: External
Purpose: To build attitude and confidence and challenge coordination with the clap.
Start by pre-teaching the clap. “Hey everyone, this song is going to start with a funky, weird clap. Let’s see if we can get it. It only happens 4 times every time it happens.” Don’t worry if you don’t quite get it.
Pre-teach walk 7, pose 8. (See if you can get them to lift their knee on the pose)
First move: Clap. Try it. Again. That’s it. One more! Here it is! You’ve got it, try it! Try the claps again! YES!!!
* The claps come each time right after you here him say “Let’s Go!”
Second move: Walk 7 – Pose. Walk, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, pose 8. Walk, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, pose 8. That’s it. Now show me lots of attitude. When you pose, do it with some kind of knee lift. Rocker attitude. Chin up, chest out. Use those arms as you walk. Let’s see all directions. Turns now and then. Strut. Personality. Arms dancing too. Even some attitude on your face. Let’s see attitude on those poses. Make it different every time. Be creative, if you want to use a wall or chair on your pose, let’s see it! You can even get your hair dancing. Your face. No one cares how you look. Move through the whole space. Show someone how confident you are! No one can do it for you. Let’s see that strut!
Third move: Chest pump. Get your arms in it. Step if you want. Here we go. That’s it. Make it feel good. Still with confidence.
