Coaching Notes:

Pre-Teach: No
Focus: External
Purpose: To increase the heart rate.

First Move: Snaps. Start snapping when you hear it in the music. Travel with your snaps. Relaxed and easy. Can you place your snaps in different places, all around the body? Use your levels as you snap? Where else can you place your snaps? Show me how you dance it, put your style in it.

Second Move: Walk. Put the beat in your feet and take a cool, funky walk around the room using different directions as you dance your walk. Coach for them to be different and unique in how they move. Have you tried going backwards? Have you tried turning? Show me how funky your walk can be. Lots of confidence and style.

Third Move: OTS Raise Arms / OTS March into Fast Feet: One at a time raise alternate arms, and then both arms together, march OTS into fast feet. Encourage them to hold their head high as they raise their arms and really dance their moves. Big, open, strong and confident. “Whis is who i am”

Fourth Move: 12-123: Connect your happy feet to the beat! Have them use their whole body, especially their arms, as they explore their space with the 12-123. Using turns and levels, encourage them to be creative and unique. Get them to sing, ‘This is who I am now’. Celebrate who you are! Be proud of it and put that into your movements. Explore the whole space. Can you get your arms dancing with your body?
