Balance and piano playing
focused, levels, meditative, inward, playful
Adult Facilitator
Pre-Teach: No
Focus: Internal or external
Purpose: to work on strength while balancing and playing the piano simultaneously.
First move: Balance on 1 foot while playing the piano. There’s only one move. You balance on 1 leg and ask them to play the piano they hear in the music.
Invite them to be playful with it, creative, using different levels, playing on their body, in the air, behind the back.
Using different fingers playing the piano. Playing it with 1 hand or both, switching it up all the time.
Switch leg when you want or invite them to do so when they want to.
Challenge your balancing, going lower and higher, dancing it all the time. You’re not a rock, creatively dance your piano playing while you balance.
This all is very fluid, change feet, even facing different directions. So creative and playful if you let it happen.
Transitions:
No transitions, just 1 move.
