Purpose: To warm up and mobilize knee and hip joints, and to explore sound-play creatively

This song is soulful, chilled out and loving and devoted in the energy. Very important in the facilitation of this is that it’s not sexy. So be very mindful that it’s a soulful, heartfelt dance, not a sexy snap.

First move: Snap. Wait for the snapping sound at 0:08, and connect them to the snap. Once they are successful, have them explore dancing their snap – OTS, or traveling, give them options. Use the style words to keep them authentically connected to the song. Coach for creative snapping by inviting them to use levels, directions and to snap somewhere different every time.

Second Move: Knee drop. Take the time to get them into the move and rhythm successfully: legs apart, soft knees and hips, and then allowing one knee to drop at a time. Relax into it and soften upper body into the dance as well. Observe them and give them options if they need them; allowing the head to move, add their hands and arms to the dance, express it with whole body dancing. Use style words and groove truths for a connected experience.
