Hands and feet in and out and shaking + Run in plank + Turn around
Shaky, strong, funny
Kids Facilitator
Pre-Teach: No
Focus: External
Purpose: Building strength
First move: This is a little choreography where you simply follow the lyrics.
Take your right hand in, out, in and shake it all about. Run in plank when they sing “Do the hokey pokey”. And the turn around.
Repeat with left hand, righ leg and left leg.
Lastly you do take your whole body on and out, making yourself smaller and bigger.
You have a couple of options here, but make a decision before bringing it to class.
To make it less exhausting you have the choice as the facilitator, to do the first round standing, and then move on to hands and feet for plank in the second round.
OR you can have them do the right arm in plank and turn to an “opposite plank” with their bellies facing up and do the left arm from that position.
Then you turn back to regular plank for right foot. When they sing “You put your whole self in and out”, just sit on your butt and make yourself small and big.
Transitions:
0:00 Start standing or in plank position
0:13 Follow the lyrics
1:16 Take a break (transition to plank if you were standing during the first round)
1:29 Start over
