The Chairman’s Waltz by Yo-Yo Ma & Itzhak Perlman

Coaching Notes:

Pre-Teach: yes
Focus: external
Purpose: To create interactions and gentle connections

First move: slow walk or sway

Second move: Waltz (down-up-up)

Connect them to the waltz and then invite them to switch between a waltz and a slow walk/sway anytime they wish. Encourage them to keep it soft and delicate, adding graceful movements with their arms and moving it creatively through the space by adding turns and changing directions.
Once they’re all comfortably moving around the space, invite them to interact briefly in a gentle finger connection as they pass someone else.
Remind them to be gentle with each other. Encourage them to try to connect with everyone in the room at least once.

Transitions:
There are no specific transitions, your participants get to decide when to waltz and when to mix in a slow or sway
