Pre-Teach: Just the rhythm (second move)
Focus: Internal
Purpose: To connect to self, connect to rhythm, cool-down
First move: start on the spot, hands at heart and gently sway with the music.
You can invite them to close their eyes if they’re comfortable…
Second move: teach them to the arm-accent-123 rhythm and once they’re all connected invite them to explore
it around the space and get really expressive with it. Invite them to express it a little differently each time.
Third move: connect them in the snaps and invite them to explore the snaps in different places and travel the snaps, keeping it cool, chill and relaxed.
You’ll alternate between these three moves throughout the song. Near the end you can invite them to sing along with the lyrics, especially while on the spot again at the end.
