Step Into My Time Machine by Tape Five (KIDS)

Coaching Notes:

Pre-Teach: Yes, first move
Focus: External
Purpose: Explore the idea of past and present
First move: Time traveling down-up and small steps in line. First you tell the kids that you are about to go time traveling in a time machine! Have them all form a long line behind you, holding the shoulders of the one in front of them. Start bending and stretching your knees as if it’s a very bumpy road. “Down and up, down and up! We are going to the future/past! Are you ready to go?”

Second move: Small steps. Start walking with small and fast steps around the space, and have them follow you like a train.
hird move: Robots. Let’s get out of the time machine. We have arrived in the future! Everything is mechanical here! And lots of robots!
Let’s move like a mechanical robot! Stiff and hard in your movements! And in the future, everything has buttons! Let’s press all the buttons all around you, maybe even on yourself!”

Fourth move: Knights riding horses! Pretend you arrived in the middle ages in the past! You are a knight out on a mission for the king. Get on your horse and ride!

Fifth move: Dinosaurs! Pretend you are in the Dinosaurs age. You can to be Tyrannosaurus Rex, or any other dinosaur you want. Have them move around and roar at each other!
