First move: skip – Happy, playful, fun skip like you are on the way to the beach!! Light energy, moving around each other.
The second time this happens, it is long so I like to have them hook elbows with someone and do one skipping circle with them and then find someone else.
The music will shift a bit to go back to skip on your own.
Second move: star pose/jump and down – I like to play with the tempo on these. Going slow helps them to explore their ROM, bending their knees fully and safely.
Then increase the pace as the music increases intensity. Be sure they are bending knees safely and honor their own bodies while still challenging themselves!
