Purpose: Go to church and dance – create unity and connection

First Move: Funky Walk: Alright everybody we are gonna go to church! Connect them to the music and encourage them to use their whole body as they travel around the room, bringing in claps when they hear them. The claps are very distinctive, so you’ll know when they come in. Encourage them to place their claps at different levels and travel in different directions, using their imagination and funkiness. Explore all your directions. Can you smile at people as you pass by them? Put your style and personality into it. Where else can you clap? Can’t get it wrong, just walk and clap. But show me what it looks like when you take it to church and add some soul. While they are walking let them know they are about to groove out.

Second Move: Groove out – Dance it your way! Give yourself permission to just dance and see if you can get your whole body into the party! You can’t get it wrong. The way your body wants to dance is the right way. No right or wrong way to dance. Show me how your arms dance with your body.

Pre-cue the next move during the 2nd walk. Alright everybody – new move is coming up. You are gonna pump your arms up 2. Here we go.

Third Move: Pump up 2, walk 6 – Pump your arms up 2 then funky church walk, Do it again, lets see it. Put some energy in it. Go to church. Can you change your direction each time? Hands up with a friend. On the 4th one you will stay on the spot for the next move.

Fourth Move: OTS Sway / Praise Arms: Have them stay wherever they are and raise their hands high as they sway to the beat. Power and confidence! Really open your chest, take a deep breath, Big open arms, go to church, you can even shake your hands like the spirit is moving through your hands.

Fifth Move: Step & Clap into a Circle: With a Step & Clap move guide your participants into a circle, getting tighter and tighter, ending with OTS crazy fast feet / opening their arms up. During this move invite them to try to give it all they’ve got as they go a little crazy with the fast feet. Encourage them to scream & shout & get that tension out! This is where you want to really build that group unity and send them back into their final Groove out.
