Soul Train Line by Cupid

Coaching Notes:

Pre-teach: Yes. Set them up. Let your group know that they are going to be getting into 2 single file lines and then turning to face each other. This is something you can practice after the pre-class walk – super helpful. You could also designate 2 people to be the front of the line and tell class to line up. Very important to be clear and concise so the class lines up quickly. Then you can press play and have a party!
Focus: External
Purpose: To have fun, show off moves and be cheered on, challenge creativity

First Move: Show off their stuff in a soul train. Start with everyone clapping and explain the soul train line BY YOU demonstrating what to do as you dance down. Encourage lots of creativity. If people are too shy, see if you can go with them or have them just point to the person next to them and they step back (I have always had people go even if it not the first round). A fun thing is to let 2 people go together, you set it up and the class will take over the fun!!
