Purpose: To warm up or cool down the body
This is a meditative type of song. You don’t need to pre-teach it because this song is so long.
You can start on the spot or you can start them on the floor and gently rise from the floor if you’re using it for a warm-up. When you do this in a group, invite them to sense the unity of the group in that slow, quick, quick flow.
First move: Flowy arms on the spot. Start on the spot. Connect to your breath. With each exhale, soften a little more. Begin to let your weight shift from foot to foot.
Gently add the arms and let them float. Deep breath. Be so gently with your body. Let your head get involved. Make sure your spine is involved. Float those arms all around your body.
Dance and express the movement. It’s slow so take your time. Soft. Fluid. Can invite them to close their eyes on the last one to really feel their breath and movement.
Second move: Arms -walk-walk. Move into the empty space. Breathe with your movement. Can you sense all of us together in this movement pattern.
Move into the open spaces around each other. All directions. Levels. Expressive and soft. Whole body.
