Pre-Teach: Yes
Focus: external
Purpose: To increase heart rate and create interaction on the dancefloor
Pre-teach: The part you may need to pre-teach is the mosh-pit. Not everyone knows what that is. So demonstrate the options of jumping, head banging, and air guitar.
***Explicit Language
***Make sure you and also your group are ready for this.
First move: Mosh pit. This happens 3 times in the song. They can jump, head bang, or play air guitar in this section.
Whatever that “rock star” vibe brings out for them to express. Make sure you encourage all of these and demonstrate all of these.
You might encourage them to play the guitar on the floor. If they know the words, get them to sing along!
Second move: This is a rhythm. Slow-Slow-Quick-Quick-Quick-Quick (2 slow; 4 quick). When the song says, “hello, hello, hello” the walks pick up into tempo walks.
In this part, encourage participants to walk in different directions and travel in and out of each other. As you walk around, look mysterious, almost like you don’t care.
Encourage eye contact. Lots of attitude. Get them to bounce off of each other and walls.
Third move: Tempo walks
Have fun with these moves and this song.
