Adult Advanced Facilitator 1
Pre-Teach: No
Focus: Mostly external in the TP, internal in the second move.
Purpose: To practice the ability to get down and up from the floor.
First move: snap. Listen to the song and connect with the snap. You can snap with one hand or both hands – you decide. This song is cool, confident and sexy. Figure out how you can let that inspire your dance. Remember – you can’t get it wrong.
Listen to the song and let it inspire how you move.
Can you use your levels?
Can you dance backwards or sideways as you snap?
What does sensual and flirty feel like to you? And how can you get that feel into your dance?
Have you tried exploring levels as you snap?
Have you tried snapping in different places?
Give yourself permission to explore confidence, flirt and sensuality in you dance. Don’t censor yourself. Allow yourself to dance in your own way and make it feel good.
Let your shoulders move. Let your spine move. Let your chest move. Even let your face be part of your expression. Dance it with ALL of YOU.
Second move: down-roll-get-up. Now stay where you are, and figure out how to slowly get all the way to the floor as you keep snapping.
Slowly. Gently. You’re not in a hurry.
Once you are down figure out how to roll. Still one hand or both hands snapping. A little flirty. A little sensual. Confidence and attitude.
How can you dance it as you roll?
Can you let your head move too?
Don’t forget to move slowly.
Now figure out how to slowly get back up. But keep dancing. Keep snapping. Cool and confident.
*** As you have them do it second and third time coach for new ways to get down and up. Also inspire for new ways of rolling.
Transitions:
You decide when you have them transition between the two moves. Make sure you give them plenty of time for the down-roll-get-up.
