Purpose: To increase heart rate and lubricate spine
First move: Walk. Start to walk to the beat. And give it a nice 60’s feel by swinging your arms and your head with it. Can you walk sideways? Backwards? Maybe turn as you walk? How can you dance your walk with a peppy, 60’s feel to it? Allow yourself to be sassy and swanky in your dance. What if you add a bit of confidence to your dance? Listen to the song and let the music inspire how you dance your walk. Is it possible to get your whole body dancing? Groove it your way – you can only get right! Let me see your shoulders and chest move too. Full body dancing with lots of sass.
Second move: Light Run. Run to the beat: run, run, run. It’s light and peppy. Dance as you run it! Turn it, play with directions and explore the room as you travel. Can you add your shoulders? Your arms? Sing it if you know it!
Third move: Twist. Bend you knees slightly, stick your bum out and twist! Can you get your arms involved? Can you get your head in it? Make it feel good and dance it with every cell in your body! Let the music inspire how you twist it. Allow yourself to dance this in a way that makes you feel good. Is it possible to get your whole body dancing the twist?
