Coaching Notes:

Coaching Notes: Pre-Teach: No Focus: External Purpose: Sound play and brain challenge, rhythm connection

First move: Slap slap snap. Connect your students to this rhythm pattern. Ask them to snap around their body and somewhere different each time. They can do this with each other too.

Second move: Stomp stomp clap. Connect your students to this move and then get them clapping somewhere different each time. You can begin traveling this move as well. Remind them of all the creative options like clapping the floor, their body, even with someone else.

Third move: Bring them back and closer together. Connect them first to slap slap and show their hands. Do this a few times. Then begin inviting math by saying “show me on your hands while keeping the rhythm 2 + 2” etc. Play with this as much as you want! You can also ask them to show you the path equation in a different way.

Transitions: You don’t need to do any of the moves in any particular order! Have so much fun grooving this!
