Purpose: To increase confidence, release stress & have fun

**Explicit Language**

Pre-Teach: Show them the walk 2 / hands up, hands down, and invite them to do it with you. Tell them to be strong, confident, grungy with a hip-hop style. Demonstrate the ‘4 arm rolls & jump’ and, again, get them to do it with you so you know they have understood. Start with a cool attitude pose so they can get into the style of music before the first move at 0:06.

First move: OTS throwing hands up: Get them to connect with the heavy rock beat as they throw their hands up in the air punching with either arm, or both. The move is grungy, confident, and strong so ask them to reflect this with their body language. Tell them to have some fun with it and find their inner rockstar! Show me your rocker style. Get your whole body involved, you can even add a jump to energize it. Let’s do it together. Get your hands up.

Second move: Walk 2 – Hands up, hands down / Walk 2 – Tell a story with your hands: Walk the two walks with attitude and then throw your hands up in the air and down again. After the second walk 2 you use your arms to tell a story, a kind of ‘What ya gonna do’ action. Make it rocky and grungy! Encourage them to interact with someone else as they do the ‘What ya gonna do’ action. Your way is the right way, just show me your rockin’ attitude, put your whole self into it. Strong walk 2 take your hands up/ hands down. Show me lots of attitude and confidence. This is hardcore. Can you do it with your neighbor? Change direction each time, go somewhere new. Can you get your whole body involved? I wanna see strong arms up and down. Do it your way! *You can also just have them walk 2 hands up, hands down each time if the tell a story on the second one throws them off. It works both ways.

Third move: 4 arm rolls & jump: You’re going to roll your arms in your own unique way for 4. On the fourth roll you will jump, perhaps with a turn, or to a new space, and repeat the rolls again. Use different levels and give it some cool attitude. You repeat this four times. This only happens 4x, so not a lot of time to cue for lots of options. Just keep inviting them to change direction each time and use levels. Can you get your whole body dancing?

Fourth move: Attitude Walk. Encourage eye contact and to walk with a rock-star attitude using different levels, directions, get your arms up and use your hands, move with confidence in a grungy style. Explore the whole room. Have you gone backwards yet? Show everyone your rocker attitude as you pass by them. Above all, have fun with these moves and remind them that they cannot get it wrong.
