Purpose: To get down, crawl and move differently to develop creative functional training
First move: Crawl. Bend your knees. Relax. Keep lowering yourself until you can touch the floor with one hand. Then both hands. Open your fingers.
Slowly start to move and crawl around. Hands and feet on the floor. Let the music inspire this interesting, bizarre, creative movement.
Explore flipping over. Slowly crawling like a crab.
Wherever you are freeze. Now pick up an arm. Then another limb if it’s possible. Use your core and stabilize here.
Now slowly start moving again. Crawl and be mindful of how you’re moving. Be super gentle and careful with your body.
If you need to stop and take a break, go ahead, then start back when you’re ready.
Now wherever you are freeze. See if you can pick up a foot, then maybe an arm. Try to stabilize for a moment. Use all your muscles.
Slowly release and go back to crawling. Maybe really reach with your legs so you can stretch.
Wherever you are, freeze. Pick up a foot, then maybe an arm. Try to stabilize for a moment. Use all your muscles.
Slowly release and go back to crawling. Be as creative as you want. Breathe fully.
