Coaching Notes:

Pre-Teach: No
Focus: External
Purpose: To lubricate the spine and hips and to increase heart rate
First move: Twist. Bend your knees a little, stick your bum out and twist! Add your arms and head too and allow your whole body to dance it!
Can you get your shoulders dancing too?
Make it feel good.
If you feel like traveling your twist, go for it.
Get your whole spine twisting – tailbone to top of the head.
Maybe you wanna try lifting up one leg as you twist?
Make your hair dance!
No one cares what it looks like – if it feels good you are doing it right!

Second move: Poses. Now pose! And a new pose! Use your levels. Add some rock’n’roll to it! Show me attitude and confidence! Just stick out body parts and dance the poses YOUR way!

Third move: Step-kick. To the beat show me a step-kick-step-kick. Travel the room as you step-kick and figure out how to dance it – you can’t get it wrong!
You can move in different directions.
You can also jump if that feels good to you – try it out!
Have you tried turning yet?
It’s also possible to kick in different directions. Can you kick to the sides?
Maybe you wanna try kicking higher? or lower?
How can your arms move?
Put a smile on your face and have fun with it.

* You can switch back and forth between the twist and the step-kick whenever you feel like.
