Adult Advanced Facilitator 1
Pre-Teach: Only the waltz if needed.
Focus: External
Purpose: To warm up or cool down the body and to connect to your voice through singing
First move: Is a slow, expressive walk. First time is only for 10 seconds, so simply connect them to the rhythm and travel it.
Second time around you have more time to coach them on the move: have them add their arms to the walk with expressive, soft and elegant movements.
Coach for flowy movements in the upper body as they walk.
Second move: Is a waltz. Cue on ’123-123’ and ’down-up-up’ to connect people to the rhythm. Invite people to chant along.
Use the style words to get people deeper connected to the song and invite turns and full body body moving as they dance it.
Coach for adding lots of breath, letting the music inspire how they move and to make it feel really good as they move.
Depending on your participants you can end the dance in a circle instead of the walk at the end of the song.
Have people hold hands in one big circle, singing along if they want.
This is optional and something you only do if you feel people are comfortable enough doing it.
