Circulation-Lubrication on the floor
gentle, soft, meditative, inward
Adult Advanced Facilitator 1
Pre-Teach: You don’t have to pre-teach, but make sure that everybody starts on the floor in a comfortable and relaxed position, before you start the music.
Focus: Internal
Purpose: To warm up the body through slow stretches and lubricating movements of the joints.
First move: This whole song is Circulation-lubrication and stretches, but starting on the floor.
As you start the music, invite your participants to close their eyes and simply relax. Feel the floor supporting their body.
Listening to the music. Invite them to a big yawn if that’s available to them.
Then invite them to start stretching, in the most gentle and delicious way possible.
You are not in a hurry. Make it feel good in your body, stretching from the tip of your fingers to your toes.
Explore how you can stretch while lying on your back. On your side. On your stomach. Slowly. Gently.
Add lots of breath and allow yawns whenever. Like you are massaging your body through your movements right now.
And what if you allowed yourself to dance these stretches? Express it in your own way.
At your own pace, stretch and dance your way into a seated position.
Now start exploring soft circles with your neck and shoulders.
Allow your arms to stretch, reach and softly move around you.
Can your spine move as well? Maybe soft waves or circles are possible?
Slowly and at your own pace again, see what it feels like to come to all fours and keep stretching and circling body parts in this position.
Maybe your spine can dance softly and slowly. Maybe you can open or lift an arm to the sky and open your chest. Breath big with your dance.
Start to slowly shift your weight into your feet, come to a squat with the upper body hanging relaxed.
And slowly, very slowly, make your way to a standing position.
Show me how you dance it in your own beautiful way.
If you have time left in the standing position keep guiding them to stretch and circle body parts as they dance it.
