Coaching Notes:

Pre-Teach: Yes
Focus: External
Purpose: To explore and challenge yourself with rhythm patterns

First move: You’ll want to pre-teach this pattern so they know what to expect.
Be sure to have them do it with you. Start with a step and heel scuff, not too big. Do this 3 times then walk 2 steps. You will hear this clearly in the music.
Have them start on the spot with this until they get the rhythm in their feet, then they can start to move around with it.

Second move: Just the step and scuff without the 2 steps.

Third move: Shuffle step (123-123). This should be a celebration step taking it all around the room.

Fourth Move: In the 3rd verse, change the Step Scuff into a Step Kick. The kick is on the cymbal sound in the music.
Invite them to take the kick in all different directions, adding arms to the movement and making it more expressive.

Transitions:
0:02 Step scuff x3 then walk 2
0:27 Step scuff
