Coaching Notes:

Pre-Teach: No Focus: External Purpose: Creative functional training, play, fundamental movement skills First move: Crawl. Ask your students to come all the way down to the ground and crawl. If they are young children, get them into it by asking them to be spiderman / spiderwpman – say you want to see their super cool break dancing moves. They can frog hop, break dance, crawl, however they want just they have to be on 4 points. For the older kids, you would make it more of a fitness challenge, telling them you want them to move from one end of the room to the other just on their hands and feet without putting their knees or bum on the ground. Second move: Ask them to hold a point in the sky. You could suggest 1 arm or 1 leg – there’s no right or wrong way! As you come back to this move, ask them to hold two points, then see if they can stand on just 1 point close to the ground. Transition back and fourth from holding balancing points to crawling as often as you’d like and whenever you need to with your group. Transitions: There’s no specific time to transition from first to second move
