Purpose: be playful with your foot movement and play creatively
Pre-Teach: OTS when I say “move your feet like this” I want you to do this with me, connect your toes and heels differently.
See how many ways you can move your feet, but lean and move your upper body with it. (Make sure they practice with you!).
When I say “slow motion” you will do this same move but really slow and see what shapes your body can make while you connect to
the floor with your feet.
First move: Step touch (clap) – Listen to the music and connect to a step and clap. Now make it a little funky, put your personality
into it and start to travel it around the room.
Smile at people as you go past them. Explore all the different places can clap, somewhere different every time.
Dance this move with your whole body. Be confident in your movement.
Second Move: Move your feet (heels and toes) – Stay OTS and “move your feet like this”. Lean into it and let your whole body move
with it. Let yourself be a little crazy with it.
Explore all the ways your feet can connect with the floor. After the first time, invite them to do it with someone and show someone
their crazy foot dance.
Put your personality into it, be playful with it.
Third Move: Slow Motion Feet – Now slow it down, super slow and see how you can move your body with your slow feet.
Keep explore all the ways you can connect your feet to the floor but go really slow. Control your movement but keep dancing it.
