First move: Walk 8-Dance 8. Walk-1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 now stay on the spot and dance! Walk again and give yourself permission to dance your walk. Play with your directions and explore turning while you walk too. This song is light, feel-good and carefree so let’s put that into our dance – in our own groovy way. Use your body language and tell someone to get up and move with you! Can you add your hips to your dance? What would if feel like to dance your arms as well? How can you move your arms? Is your head dancing? Can your chest and shoulders move too? What if you let your whole body dance it? Make it feel good and dance it YOUR way – you got this!
Second move: 123-tap. Walk to the beat: 123-tap. Start to explore where you can put that tap: to the sides, in front of you, behind you, crossing over the other foot. Make it you own dance by trying out different places to tap as you travel your dance. Have you tried moving backwards yet? Have you tried turning? Both ways? Maybe you can get your head dancing? Your arms too? What if you just dance right now to make yourself feel good – what would that look like? No one can do it for you – give yourself pemission to groove it the way that feels awesome to you.
