*For ages 12 and up, you can add a pony: 123-123, anytime you want in between the Front-Stroke and the Doggie-Paddle, to make it a little bit more cardio if you want to.
**This song is very flexible in where you put the moves….don’t take the transition counts too seriously, listen and PLAY!
First move: Front-stroke-swim – Start with introducing the Front-Stroke-Swim. Even have them wobble their head with it!
Take it around the space.
Second move: Nose-plug-drop – Whenever you want to, keep them on the spot and do a Nose-Plug-Drop!
You can tell them that anytime they meet someone, to stop -do the Nose-Plug-Drop with that someone, and then back to swimming.
This is a great way to include some interaction!
Third move: Doggie-paddle – Suggest changing directions around and in between each other. They can even play with their faces, sticking their tongue out like dogs usually do when they swim! Have fun with it!
Fourth move: On the floor variations of swimming – At 1:20 FREEZE, Allow yourself to sink into the ocean!
Sit on your butt and do a Back-Stroke and add fluttering of the legs! Move into a Breast-Stroke with swimming legs.
You can even have them lying on their side, doing Side-Strokes. Keep them in each swimming move for as long as you want.
Transitions:
0:00 Front stroke
0:38 Doggie Paddle
0:51 Front stroke
1:05 Doggie Paddle
1:20 FREEZE
2:43 Bring them back up for swimming adding nose plug whenever!
Give them some creative freedom to the end of the song!
