Purpose: To explore embodiment of strong confidence
First move: 1-2-3-flick. Start in this confident pose; knees slightly bent, hands on hips and shoulders back.
(Everytime you do this rhythm, you will have your hands on your hips.) Connect them to this rhythm OTS (On The Spot) before traveling it. You take three steps and flick one foot up, as if you want to kick your own butt. Repeat.
Make the flick really strong and almost aggressive.
The first round of this move, just do it OTS, and the second round from 1:00 into the song, you travel it.
Ask them to change their direction after every flick. To make it more dramatic you can look over your shoulder or even check out your toes!
Second move: Pose! Several times in this song you will hear a sudden stop! This is where you will ask your groovers to freeze in a really confident pose!
If you came from the 1-2-3-flick when entering the pose, you will go into the slow walk after the pose.
And if you came from the slow walk when entering the pose, you will move into the 123-flick after the pose.
Third move: Slow walk. Keep your knees slightly bent and walk slow-slow-slow-slow. Dragging out each step. Let your arms explore dramatic tango inspired shapes and stretches while walking.
The second time this move comes, you may ask your groovers to find a partner and walk around each other. Inviting some eye contact, looking at each other with some dramatic facial expressions.
If you choose to incorporate this connection and interaction, it’s a good idea to mention this in your intro.
Simply say “In the middle of this song are going to interact a little. I will ask you to find a partner and walk around them.
Circling them with slow walk. Ok?” And press play.
