Purpose: To play with a funky style of the music and really wiggle the hips
First Move: Walk 4 dance 4. Now that you’ve got it go somewhere new. Dance your boogie. Dance it differently everytime. Get your whole body moving, doing it your way. Bringing in that soul. Play with your legs, elbows. Your head is dancing. But keep it funky. Let that beat inspire your dance. See just how you creative you can be and make your dance different each time. Maybe play with levels, trying it a little lower. Stick out different body parts and see what happens.
Second Move: Wiggle-front-front-back-back. and is the only move that you may want to pre-teach in some groups of people. Tell them to stay on the spot, legs apart, and soften their knees and hips. Wiggle front twice, then push your hips back and wiggle twice here, back, and forth. Once they get the move, tell them to have fun with it, and not worry about if it’s front and back at the right time. Coach for whole body dancing, and play with how far they can stick out their hips front and back as they wiggle.
*You can encourage folks to bring their arms up for the wiggle back and down for the front with the fun style in it
Second time around you can invite the option of changing directions every time you change you push your hips front or back.
