Focus: External
Purpose: To warm up or cool down the body and explore soundplay.
This is a great groove for the warm up or recovery part of your class. It’s light, happy, carefree and relaxed and great to have people to sing along to.
First move is a traveling snap. Connect them to the snap at first, and have them travel it.
Then inspire them to move their arms and snap somewhere different every time and have them dance it with an easy going, relaxed style to it.
Second move is a toe twist. Have them stay OTS, plant their big toe and softly twist their lower body.
Tell them to add their arms, head and upper body as well, allowing their whole body to softly twist and groove. They decide when they want to change feet.
Third move is a playful move OTS, where you hum along and move your arms as if you were the background singer.
You move your arms for four counts and then you change into a new way of moving them.
Inspire with groove truths and have people sing a long even though they don’t know the song, they can be as playful as they want, interacting with each other as well.
Follow the time code below so you do the background singer arms at the right places in the song.
