Purpose: To get into a meditative, trance-like state with movement
First Move: Light Stomp with Circle Arms. This is a meditative song. We’re just going to start with your knees bent and add a light stomp or march to the beat. As you stomp, remember it’s light so you’re not making sound with your feet. Now start to add your arms by circling them. You can circle them inward toward you or outward away from you. Now take this idea of circling your arms and start to travel it. Turning it into a meditative prayer. Relaxed. Gentle. Feel free to stomp 2 or 3 times on one foot. It’s your dance so it doesn’t really matter. Explore your levels using your whole body. Make it your own beautiful, meditative dance. Add more breath. There’s no right or wrong way. It’s just your dance.
