Focus: Both
Purpose: To explore staying in the same rhythm in a meditative way.
First move: Slow walk, relaxed body, lots of deep breathing, Relaxed in your shoulders, your arms.
Meditative walk, changing directions. Serious face. Gentle, confident. Explore your whole space.
Second move: Arm accent slow for 4 and light run for 4. You will hear the sound in the music, connect to that for the slow expressive arms. Giving or taking. Arms opening or closing on the slow, then light run. Add confidence. Let yourself get lost in this simple pattern. This whole song, Use your whole body with your arms. Can you explore all your directions and levels.
Really dramatic with the slows and light run for 4. It turns into a meditation of that movement. Give and take, show me how you express that with your body.
Eventually start doing it with someone, no touching, simply expressing your arms with another groover, or more than one groover.
Let the music inspire you how you express and embody the movement.
