Coaching Notes:

Pre-Teach: No
Focus: External
Purpose: Silly, fun, acting
Pre-teach Just show them the 6 walks and a hippo and explain that you want them to vary their wide poses and make funny faces!

First move: Start with 6 walks and a hippo. The hippo is a pose where you make your body as wide as possible.
Use your hands wide and your cheeks puffed and your eyebrows up! Hippo options: You can ask them to go up to each other and do the hippo pose. Tell them to change the pose and lift leg and get creative with it and change their angles.

Second move: The other move is 123-123. You can make it as big or small as you please. Weave your way in between other people. Get your elbows out and just dance it carefree!

This song is verse chorus. So you end up doing the hippopotamus when she sings ‘I want a hippopotamus for Christmas’. But if you miss a cue, it doesn’t matter. Both moves will fit.
