Pre-teach: Explain first how to swing your partner. In this song, we’ll walk slow with exaggerated arms movements. You’ll do these
big presentation type of arms. Then we’ll transition into a little swing your partner (show them with someone).
First move: Swing your partner. We’ll start with a little peppy walk. Pick up your elbows and feet. Find a partner, then another.
Don’t stay with anyone too long. Change elbows once in a while.
Second move: Slow it down. Slowly walk and express the lyrics with your arms. No one cares what it looks like! Show us your
own unique style.
Third move: Big arms for 8. Present yourself – “I am HERE!”. There’s a slow arm movement for 8, add lots of breath, lots of
expression, different way of reaching slowly every time.Change your pose. Change it again. Big presentation. Use levels.
Open yourself. Look around. You are unique, you should look unique!
Start to energize it, and here we go! Pick up those feet and move it around. You can’t get this wrong!
