Adult Facilitator
Pre-Teach: No
Focus: External
Purpose: To warm up or cool down the body and create sweet interactions on the dance floor
First move: Jolly Christmas Walk. Start to walk to the beat: walk, walk. Relax your body, maybe put a smile on your face and just start
to travel the room. This song is warm, light and jolly. How can you put that into your walk?
Maybe try walking sideways. Maybe turning? You could even walk backwards as you dance.
As you pass someone, give them a little smile or wink.
Can you add your arms? Your head?
You can even explore your levels if you want to.
Add your breath and make it feel good.
Dance it your way. Give me a cute sweet Christmas walk.
How lightly and gently can you dance it?
Listen to the song and let it inspire how you dance it.
Second move: Toe twist. Bend your knees a little and start to twist from your toe. Whole body dancing and moving. Lubricate those
hips as you dance your toe twist.
Allow your body to be soft and relaxed – make it feel good.
Can you add your arms?
Can you get your hips into it?
Switch to the other toe whenever you want.
See how you can get your whole body dancing the twist, lubricating your spine and lower back as you dance.
Remember that you are unique – dance it with your own style and personality.
Third move: Sway. Stay on the spot and sway. Softly. Gently. Dance it your way. Now give me a little pose.
