Purpose: To create a meditative connection to the movement through sound
First move: Snap. Soft and easy. Listen for the snap and connect with it. This song is meditative, gentle, and relaxed. As you do your snap, think about doing a gentle movement to transition to the next snap.
Lots of breath. Think about the movement and how it feels in your body. Explore your space.
How can you get your whole body involved in the movement? Infuse it with your breath. You can travel, but keep it soft and relaxed.
Any time you feel like it, you can hum and sing along. Doesn’t matter if you know the song. Give yourself permission to let your voice dance and express as well. Your way is the right way.
Be so gentle with yourself. You can’t get this wrong. Discover all of the beautiful, soft ways your body can move, even your head. Explore your levels, there is the space above you and below you, use your whole body. Hold yourself gently as the song ends.
