Purpose: Exploring viking/pirate activities
Tell your kids that in this song you are pirates or Vikings sailing your ship at sea! Pre teach the “swing your partner” move. Have them try it out without music so that it’s easier for them to pair up when the music is going.
First move: Set the ship ready to sail. This is a compilation of a few moves: The first one is rowing out into the ocean. Take your binoculars, look towards the horizon and find the direction the ship is going to sail. Pull the sails up! (You will hear the artist singing about setting sail) Second move: March. Lift your knees high and march with pride.
Third move: Skip and swing your partner. First skip on deck. Open your arms wide!
Chest up, proud of your ship! After a little while, switch to swinging a partner.
Ask them to find a partner and hook elbows to kind of skip round and round. Fourth move: Sword action. Take your sword, lift it up, test it and show it off! Then lay it all the way down on the ground, while you kneel. Hand on your heart as if you are blessing it.
Fifth move: Shoot Arrow. Take your bow and arrow, aim it to the sky and shoot it!
