Coaching Notes:

Pre-Teach: Yes – The “hey” Challenge
Focus: External
Purpose: To connect on the “hey” together as a group.

Pre-Teach: Ok everyone in this song we have a challenge. Every time you hear a break in the music we are going to go “Hey” all together. It’s gonna be fun cause the song is going to trick you. The key is to wait for the break in the music. Let’s do it!

First move: Pony – Let’s start with a little pony, go 123-123. Keep your foot work small but put some energy into it. Can you travel your pony? Show me what it looks like when you add your arms and let your body dance it. Give you me your best 60’s style, peppy, sassy, cutesy, and playful. This is a bit cardio so you can also step touch if you need to. Do it the way that feel s best for you. You can’t get it wrong, just make up your own pony, but put your style and personality into it.

Second move: HEY! – Stop, you can pose and yell “HEY”, – you don’t have to have them do it different each time, the goal here is just to nail the “hey” together as a group. You have to really listen to the music, You will hear a clear break in the music before the “hey”, that is your signal for the “hey”.

Third move: Drumroll. – Now instead of the “hey”, you are going to give me a little drumming. This is quick and fast and only happens 3xs.
