Purpose: To create powerful interaction and connection
Have participants start by rubbing their hands together and observe what they feel around their hands.
First move: Energy ball. Deep breaths. Open your hands. Tune in to any sensations you may feel around your hands.
You can play with moving your hands in and out slowly. You can add a gentle sway if you feel inspired to do so.
Stay focused on that sensation you feel in between your hands. Begin feeling your weight transition from one side to another.
Second move: Reach and Sway, If your eyes are closed, open them and we’ll start to sway with the music. Reach and reach. Expand. Open your chest. Explore your range of motion. Keep your focus on your hands. Reaching around each other in the group. Travel reach. Staying with that meditative quality. How many places can you reach? Reach into the open spaces. Feel the connection of the group reaching together, with each other, around each other. Can you travel while you reach? Add softness and relaxation. Put your essence into it.
Third move: Walk-4-reach-2. This is where it becomes interactive and external. Have them reach into the empty/open space. Soft. Gentle. Meditative.
Tune in with your group. Reaching together. Try to open your body. If you want to join in the mantra, sing “Heal this land.” So powerful.
