Pre-Teach: Yes – the combo….head, shoulders knees and toes to a plank and then mountain climbers. Have them do it with you and give options of no floor or playful things in the planks.
Focus: External
Fitness Elements/Purpose: CR (creativity), RT (reaction time), ROM, Coordination, Muscle Strength, Muscle Endurance, Cardiovascular, Speed
First move: Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes (HSKT Combo) – simply touch the body part while lowering yourself into a plank position. Hang out there or play with feet and hands. Step forward and come up on the word “high” and “all”.
Second move: 2 to the side, deep knee bend with lots of play in the upper body. Be sure to cue good form and body positions. Travel this in all directions around your space.
Third move: March – fast feet – follow the music on this…
