Purpose: To warm up the body

First move: Light run. Connect to the beat with a light run -1,2-1,2. Super soft and light. Softly step on the ball of your foot every time. Now begin to explore the space: travel with your soft run as you dance through the space. Can you travel sideways maybe? Or backwards? And once in a while see what it feels like to turn. Can you add your arms to your dance? Soft, light and airy. What about your shoulders and spine and chest – can you add them to your dance? Make it feel so yummy and delicious in your body – dance it in a way that makes your body go ‘ahhhhhhhh’. Remember that on this dance floor it’s all about making it feel good. Do it your way.

Second move: Step-touch. New move: Step-touch-step-touch. Make it light and bouncy and get your whole body in it! Can you add your head to your dance? How can your upper body move? Don’t be afraid to dance it in your own delicious way – give yourself permission to dance and express it in a way that feels good in your body. Have you tried dancing backwards? Give someone a smile as you pass them. Show me how you can get your whole body dancing the step-touch.

Third move: Soft expressive arms OTS. Stay on the spot and softly move your arms. Listen to the song and let it inspire how you dance your arms. How softly can you move your arms? Let your fingers dance too. Light, gentle, expressive. You cannot get it wrong. Dance it your way. Can you explore your levels? What if you let your upper body dance with it as well? Even get your head and face involved too.
