Adult Advanced Facilitator 2
Pre-Teach: No
Focus: Internal. External on the clapping.
Purpose: To warm up the body and explore celebratory energy through movement
First move: Is moving the arms to the accents in the music. Connect them to the rhythm by cueing on ’arm, arm’ on the accents in the music.
Soft, passionate and expressive. Invite them to try it different ways, using levels and moving the arm in different directions every time.
Allow the whole body to softly move and dance with it.
Second move: Is a slow-quick-quick. Once they are connected to the rhythm, connect them to the style by using the style words passionate, expressive, soulful and even dramatic.
Coach for full use of space, try turning – both ways – and to add the arms and upper body as they dance.
Remember to encourage them to use their voice and sing-along anytime they feel like it.
Third move: Is a clap. Invite them to clap somewhere new every time, and to invite the soulful feeling, invite them to look up as they clap as well.
Fourth move is: open arms. It comes twice in song and you cue them to stay OTS and open the arms to the side. Palms facing up. Just pausing. Being. Breathing.
