Pre-Teach: Yes.

Purpose: To connect to the beat and mobilize the hips and lower back.

Pre-Teach: Teach them the ‘C’ Hips-walk 8 (4 arms up, 4 dance). – demonstrate while you teach them and have them do it with you. Legs wide, swing your hips side to side making a c shape, then walk arms up 4 and then funky walk 4.

First Move: Funky Claps. You hear the clap. Let’s clap along with it. Now make it funky. All around your body. Lots of style with these. You’ve got your levels, like low or high. Use those legs. That’s it. Your whole body is in it.

Second Move: ‘C’-Hips-4-Walk-8 (4 arms up, 4 dance) Now let’s do the move we learned. C-Hips, 2, 3, 4. Now walk it funky arms up 4 then funky walk. C-Hips. And walk. That’s it. Let it feel so good. Bend your knees and let those hips swing, walk it with funky confidence. You can’t get this wrong. So bend those knees and open those hips. Each time, walk somewhere new.

Third Move: Walk-4-Dance-4. Walk, 2, 3, 4, Dance, 2, 3, 4. Keep it funky. But start to add more parts of your body. You can try different directions. Make it different every time. Dance it YOUR way. No one should look like you. That’s it! Show me what you’ve got. Whole body is dancing. The music is super funky, show me that funkiness in your whole body!
