First move: dance walk and clap – let’s travel and clap with the music, relax and let your body dance it.
Smile on your face, all around your body. Smile at each other.
Second move: Hands up dance walk – “Put your hands up” is the lyric, so get them to dance walk pumping their arms up and dancing them up there in various ways!
Keeping the arms up helps to build heat in the body to warm up fully for a good fitness GROOVE class. Get them to put attitude, personality and style into it. Whole body dancing.
Third move: OTS lift, lower and sway – Stop them here for a bit of stretch or expression of full range of motion (ROM).
Raise the arms up in various ways, stretching upwards, melt down with legs and arms, and then sway side to side reaching as you come back up. Have them sing along too!
