Adult Facilitator
Pre-Teach: The give-love move
Focus: External
Purpose: To create sweet and warm interactions on the dancefloor
Pre-Teach: ’Alright guys, for this next song we are gone love up this place! When he in the chorus sings ’give love’ I want you to connect with your fellow groovers giving love in different ways:
it could be blowing a kiss, holding your hands on your heart and then reaching out to them, could be a hug if you feel like, any way you can show with face, hands and eyes that your wanna give this person all the good in life – do it!
First move: Is a walk. It’s light, carefree, relaxed and happy. Simply connect people to the rhythm, then have them explore the room using directions, levels and turning.
Coach for a bouncy, happy walk and have them add their arms in any way the music inspires them to.
Second time around as he starts rapping you can invite people to get a bit more bouncy with it, adding their personality and own expression.
Second move: Second move is the give-love move. Cue them to give love to the groovers they pass – invite eye contact and smiles!
Inspire with the options from when you were pre-teaching if people need help on how to be creative.
’Show me how much love you can send out in this room right now! Let’s lift the roof!’
Make sure you as the facilitator demonstrate different ways as well, and that you don’t hold back – give people permission to interact and be loving and caring for one another.
If you want to towards the end you can have people come to the middle of the room and dance around each other real close, giving love, smiling and connecting.
