Coaching Notes:

Pre-Teach: No
Focus: External
Purpose: To lubricate hips and lower spine

First move: 12-123. Listen to the beat and put it in your feet: 12-123. Allow your body to be relaxed and loose and bend your knees a little so you can move your hips as you dance. Start to move through the space with your 12-123. This song is carefree, joyful and smooth. Can you express that with your dance? You don’t know unless you try – just dance it in your own unique way. Can you move backwards? What about sideways? Can you turn as you travel? Can you make your arms dance? Have you tried adding your head to your dance? Make it feel good in your body as you dance it – you can’t get it wrong. How can you get your whole body involved in your dance? Even your face? Can you make your chest dance? Maybe your spine? How smooth and relaxed can you dance it? Like you don’t have a care in the world.

Second move: Jump & dance. Make a little jump and then let your butt dance. If jumping doesn’t feel good in your body, just take a big step instead. How can you dance your butt? You can try circles, pumps, body rolls. Anything you like, but let your whole body dance with it – arms, head, spine – all of it! Yummy and smooth. Give yourself permission to dance it with confidence – this is your Groove – you got this! Have you tried going lower? How good can you make it feel? Use your dance to make yourself feel so good! Can you add your shoulders to your dance?

Third Move: OTS butt dance. Now keep dancing your butt, but slow it down a little. How can you dance your hips? Can you take it lower? Have you tried doing body rolls? You can also play with making little circles with your tailbone. Don’t forget to add your arms, shoulders, head and spine to the dance. Your way is the right way, I promise!
