Pre-Teach: Step-Tap-Step-Tap-walk-4 and have them do it with you, maybe you need to do it a bit slower the first time you practice and then pick up the tempo.
First move: Step-Tap-Step-Tap-walk-4. Really dance the step-tap and dance-walk the 4 walks. Add turns, dance around each other. How can you add your own style to the dance? Have you tried walking backwards, or to the side? Your way is the right way!
Second move: Walk-8-dance-8. Dance-walk for 8 with lots of arms and singing, “You’re free”, then dance for 8, ” to do what you want to do”, just dance it, walk 8 again with the arms and singing, and dance however you want to. You can’t get this wrong. You can create great connection when you ask them to come together for the walk-8 while they raise the arms and dance the 8 a bit closer
together. And of course sing along.
