Focus: External
Purpose: To explore rhythm through sound-play
The moves also work with Beyoncé’s cover of this song. Beyoncé’s version is a tiny bit slower, and there’s more emphasis on the sexy energy due to the way she sings the song.
First Move: Snap-and-travel. Connect to the snap in the song. Now start to snap somewhere new everytime – all around your body. In front of you, behind you- and use your levels as you snap. Start to travel the room while you snap. Dance your snap with confidence, coolness and add a little sexy to it – whatever that feels like to you. You can’t get it wrong!
Just let your body relax into it and allow yourself to dance it with flirt and sass. Try looking over your shoulder or maybe softly biding your lower lip – maybe give someone a little wink as you pass them. Just play with it – I promise, you can’t get it wrong!
Remember you can travel backwards and sideways and turn it- and see what happens if you let the furniture and walls be part of your dance – what would that look like?
Second move: OTS one hand snapping. Stay on the spot, strike a pose and let just one hand snap around your body. Flirty, confident and relaxed. Change your pose and snap with the other hand. Add your breath and dance it your own way. Making it feel good as you dance it. Change your pose again and back to the other hand snapping. Can you use your levels?
Maybe stick things out a little more as you pose? And what does your face look like when you dance right now? Give yourself permission right now to explore confidence and sexiness as you move your body – you don’t know what it feels like unless you give it a try. This is YOUR dance- you can only get it right!
Transitions:
This song has no specific transitions, so you decide when you want to transition between the two moves.

Enfoque: Externo
