Coaching Notes:

Pre-Teach: No
Focus: External
Purpose: To warm up the body and lubricate hip joints

First move: Hips. Start to move your hips to the music. You can start side-to-side to the rhythm. Bend your knees a little and invite sensuality and softness into your dance. You can play with the tempo and rhythm in your own way. Let your whole body dance it.

Second move: Walk-4-Out-4. Walk-1-2-3-4 and then step-out-out-out-out. Dance your walk and as you step out wide, really let your hips move with it. Explore how your butt can move with it too. Moving front and back. Try to move sideways, backwards and turn as you walk. This song is confident, flirty, light and chilled. So relax your body, soften it and allow yourself to dance it in your own beautiful way. Remember your way is the right way – that means you explore what flirty and confident is to YOU. Can’t get it wrong – I promise! Can you make your whole body dance? Add your own style and personality to it. Make it feel good – lubricate your hips by sticking your booty out as you dance your hips. Can you get your shoulders dancing too? What about your arms?

Third Move: Pose(s). Now pose! New pose. Pose again. Stick body parts out and give it a little spice and sassiness. New pose every time.

Fourth Move: 12-123. Now put the beat in your feet: 12-123. Soften your knees so your hips can move. Relax your body and allow for a flirty and confident feel. No right or wrong way – just YOUR way. Can you turn it? Is there somewhere in the room you haven’t danced yet? What happens if you let your hips dance? Have you tried adding your arms to your dance? Let your shoulders move too. What does flirty look like when you dance it? Can’t get it wrong! Can you dance it backwards? Give yourself permission to dance it with confidence. And make it feel good – no one knows what it feels like in your body but you.

Fifth move: Shake and Shimmy: let your shoulders shimmy, keep your feet moving to the beat. Can you shimmy in different directions? Put your flavor and style into it. Can you shimmy low and high?
